I am Yadhira Luera. I plan on teaching Spanish to middle school and high school students.
I am very excited to teach using the technolgy ideas learned in this class. I'm taking this
class in conjunction with my first field experience class, which includes the psychology
and understanding of pedagogy. These two classes together bring the idea of teaching
in a classroom to life, making it easy to visualize how I will work with students.
While it's true that sitting in a classroom listening to a teacher speak is not the ideal
way for young people to learn, being in a classroom doesn't have to be limited to the
four walls of the classroom itself. With technology, our students can learn through the
method they know the best. They can search the world through the internet and find
information that even the teacher might not have imagined.
I look forward to teaching; this class adds to that excitement. I know that what we learn
here is invaluable and I plan on taking every last bit of what we do here into my own
classroom.
